I think Senator Obama gave an excellent speech, and he has mostly redeemed himself in my eyes. Whether he redeems himself with the average white American, is another issue....

Senator Clinton is the ultimate flip-flopper. No one has waited, trained, lied, attacked or cried more for the Presidency than she has.
I will read the book - I agree that words will convey more than a movie.
However, I fail to understand the relevance of the unsuccessful romance in the book to your platonic love with Moon, apart from that one sentence in which you mentioned that one meeting with Moon would suffice for a lifetime.
I had some thoughts on this after reading your blog on platonic love. I placed them at my personal website:

Agreed! Then we need to take ACT :)

Well, people who have been following the financial market really should not have been surprised with the downturn. Last August's subprime crisis has had an effect that is still making its rounds. The problem is not only inflation, but the decreasing value of the USD.
Check out:
The woman who delivered the baby girl, did she not know the sex of the child previously from an ultra-sound? Or is such information not shared with the mother because of fears of abortion? I am not familiar with the practice in India, so this is a serious question. I know that expectant mothers in the US know the baby's gender through ultra-sound months before the delivery. Thanks.

Well, they may not be needed in India, but they will still be welcome and required here in the US. Changing demographics - an aging US population - will ensure that immigration of the young, educated and skilled professionals in the foreseeable future will continue, regardless of what the politicians may say about it.

Danish Cartoons Outrage
I spoke of Danish citizens who happen to be Muslims - people who were born and bred in Denmark. What other home do they know? Why should they not have any rights? Laws, legislation etc are evolving.
The difference in the Gulf states is that GULF ARABS are blatantly racist and discrimanatory - they do not allow foreigners to obtain citizenship.
If European countries such as Denmark had a problem with immigration and wanted a homegenous society, then they should not have allowed the immigrants to obtain citizenship and bring up children in Denmark. Remember the children are citizens. They have the same rights as any other citizen in the country.
